Also Known as Fenny, it is a popular country liquor of Goa (hence not sold outside Goa) and has come to identified as an inseparable part of Goa Tourism over the years. Feni can be made with both coconut and cashew but Goan feni is essentially fermented cashew juice and so is sometimes called caju feni. It is highly intoxicating and is used in cocktails and mixed with cola, tonic water and lemonade. It is easily available at INR 100 at any liquor shop. Plus, it has a long shelf life! Get a bottle of Feni for the next party you host at home and let everyone enjoy a sip of this Goan spirit.
